For schools and IT

Is KidUniversity blocked on a school laptop or network? It's a new site, so some web filters haven't put it in a category yet and block it as "Unknown." Here's everything your IT team needs to allow it.

Teachers: send this to your IT team

  1. Open a helpdesk ticket, or email your school's technology department. (If the school device blocks this page, open it on your phone or at home.)
  2. Copy the request below into the ticket, or open it as an email.
Hello,

Please allow KidUniversity, a K–12 learning website (lessons, books and test prep for kindergarten through grade 12, in English and Spanish). Our web filter blocks it as "Unknown" (uncategorized) because the site is new. It contains no ads and no social features.

Please allow these domains:
- kiduniversity.net
- app.kiduniversity.net
- *.convex.cloud and *.convex.site (the app's server: sign-in and lessons)
- *.cloudflarestream.com and iframe.videodelivery.net (lesson videos)

Only if families will subscribe on school devices:
- *.revenuecat.com, js.stripe.com and *.stripe.com (secure checkout)

Thank you!

For IT: domains to allow

KidUniversity is a single web app. Allow all of these, not just the website: if only kiduniversity.net is allowed, the page opens but sign-in and lessons can't load.

DomainWhat it's for
kiduniversity.netThe website (information, pricing, help)
app.kiduniversity.netThe learning app
*.convex.cloud, *.convex.siteThe app's server: sign-in, lessons and progress (HTTPS and secure WebSockets)
*.cloudflarestream.com, iframe.videodelivery.netLesson videos
*.revenuecat.com, js.stripe.com, *.stripe.comOnly for subscribing: the secure checkout

Suggested category: Education. KidUniversity has no ads, no tracking or third-party analytics, no chat between users and no social features. AI homework help (Ask Hoot) stays off until a parent turns it on. See our privacy policy.

Web filter vendors

We're asking the major school web filters (Lightspeed, Securly, GoGuardian, Cisco) to categorize kiduniversity.net as Education. Until their databases update, a school's own allow rule is the quickest fix.
