KidUniversity has two sections by grade. The same app, the same account and the same family plan for both.
EarlyU · Grades K–6
Learn. Play. Grow.
Kindergarten to grade 6 learn in EarlyU: 34 full-year courses with 5,425 lessons. Guided lessons with Professor Hoot, read-aloud help, the Fluency Zone, games and the library. Same app, same account, same family plan.
TeenU · Grades 7–12
Grow. Build. Become.
Grades 7 to 12 learn in TeenU: 24 full-year courses with 3,795 lessons, plus SAT® and ACT® prep with 311 more. Lessons of about 60 minutes, My Schoolwork and Ask Anything. Same app, same account, same family plan.
Full-year courses with short daily lessons, an example and practice questions, review days and a test for each unit. Kids move on only after scoring 85% or higher on the unit test, with review and as many retakes as they need. Plus books, videos and games.
Mastery you can trustA quick check-up for each subject (about 10 minutes) shows which units are already strong and which need work. Professor Hoot then sets the plan: practice what was missed first, skip ahead where they're strong.
How the check-up worksLessons this week, days learning, scores by subject, books finished and lessons worth another look, for each child. A short progress email arrives every Sunday, and you can turn it off.
Reading the reportPractice, reading and help that work together with the lessons.
Kids type a question and get a step-by-step explanation. It stays off until a parent turns it on, and parents can read, report and delete every question.
Picture books, stories from around the world and classic chapter books, including picture books in Spanish. "Read to me" highlights each word as it's read.
Animated lessons with Professor Hoot for every unit in kindergarten through grade 4, and 342 real videos, from sources like NASA and the National Park Service, for grades 5–12, now including high school science, history and government.
Number Line Drop, Balloon Pop, Sort It!, Match Up, Sentence Builder and Spell It turn math facts, spelling, words and sentences into practice that earns stars.
A star for every right answer on the first try, a daily streak and badges, and a graduation ceremony with a personalized diploma at the end of each grade.
Switch the screens, Professor Hoot's voice and Ask Hoot's answers between English and Spanish, any time. Lessons are translated course by course; one that isn't translated yet shows in English. En español
