A Spanish and bilingual homeschool curriculum, K–12

KidUniversity is a full-year homeschool curriculum for grades K–12 that works in English and in Spanish. Tap 🌐 to switch the app, Professor Hoot's voice and Ask Hoot's answers between the two languages any time, for each child. Lessons are translated course by course, and a lesson that isn't translated yet shows in English.

Free forever: Unit 1 of every course, the check-up and parent reports, in English and Spanish. No credit card.

What you get, in both languages

60 full-year courses with 9,531 lessons and 1,269 unit tests, from kindergarten through grade 12, on one family account.

The whole app in Spanish

Menus, buttons and the Grown-ups area, Professor Hoot's voice, and Ask Hoot's answers all switch to Spanish. The weekly progress email comes in the language the app is set to.

Lessons, course by course

Lessons are being translated course by course. Any lesson that isn't translated yet shows in English, so your child never hits a blank page. English lessons are explained in Spanish, with the English words being learned kept in English.

Spanish picture books

The read-aloud Library has more than 1,000 picture books in Spanish, alongside the rest of its 2,700+ books.

This website, the help center and the privacy policy are in Spanish too: ver esta página en español.

Who it's for

  • Spanish-speaking families

Learn in the language you speak at home, and build English along the way. Parents can follow along in Spanish too, in the Grown-ups area and the weekly email.

  • Bilingual families

Each child can use the language that suits them, and switch whenever they like. One child can learn in Spanish while a brother or sister learns in English, on the same family plan.

  • Kids learning either language

A child learning Spanish can hear Professor Hoot and read picture books in Spanish. A child learning English can get help in Spanish while the English words stay in English.

How it works

  1. Create a family account

Sign up in any web browser, on a phone, tablet or computer, and add each child with their grade.

  2. Pick a language

Tap 🌐 to choose English or Spanish. You can change it any time, for each child.

  3. Take the check-up

A check-up of about 10 minutes per subject finds what your child already knows and builds their study plan.

  4. Learn day by day

Each lesson is one school day. Unit tests use the 85% mastery goal, and the reports show each child's progress.
